chinese headdress

This antique Chinese eight immortals child crown headdress hat dates from the 1920s. It is all hand stitched, made of colorful silk fabrics, with raised padded satin stitch embroidery work. There is a cut out scalloped tiara crown front panel, with an appliqued butterfly, beading and eight immortal figures stamped out of a sheet of silver and covered in a gold wash attached onto the front. They represent high, noble character and vast spirit. There is a wind flap draping panel covering the back of the neck for warmth. This unusual unique shaped hand crafted hat has a detailed 3 dimensional cut out decorative design, with colorful silk tassel trim and beading. It is fully lined in a blue cotton fabric inside.

This antique Victorian era brown straw silk bow bonnet fancy hat headdress dates from the 1870s. It is made of a decorative scalloped woven brown straw, with a large wired brown silk ribbon bow trim on the top, with a gold tone metal jewel encrusted clasp in the center and floral brown berry trim accents hidden behind. This sweet fancy hat headdress bonnet has a small wired frame and is created in a crescent oval shape worn across the top of the head in the style of a headband.

It is made of a sheer off white cream color embroidered lace net fabric, with a blue and white striped, pink roses floral print sheer silk chiffon fabric overlay. There is tiny blue silk rosette trim on the sleeve cuffs and side skirt drape, with a yellow silk satin ribbon sash tied around the waistband. This beautiful blue tea gown garden party dress has a overlapping V front neckline, chiffon and lace sailor collar, layered long sleeves, a long floor length uneven draping handkerchief skirt, with snaps for closure along the front and side. It is fully lined in a white silk fabric, with stays boning in the bodice and a "S.K. Stroebel Utica, N.Y." label sewn inside.
