edwardian tea gown

This Edwardian Titanic era blue silk chiffon roses tea gown dress dates from 1912. It is made of a sheer off white cream color embroidered lace net fabric, with a blue and white striped, pink roses floral print sheer silk chiffon fabric overlay. There is tiny blue silk rosette trim on the sleeve cuffs and side skirt drape, with a yellow silk satin ribbon sash tied around the waistband. This beautiful blue tea gown garden party dress has a overlapping V front neckline, chiffon and lace sailor collar, layered long sleeves, a long floor length uneven draping handkerchief skirt, with snaps for closure along the front and side. It is fully lined in a white silk fabric, with stays boning in the bodice and a "S.K. Stroebel Utica, N.Y." label sewn inside. http://www.1860-1960.com
